Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Sports Personality Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The event will be televised from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

Littler's Profile

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
