Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A plane carrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
