Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
Honoring the Deceased
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”
